Holidays to Rome

Rome holidays offer you the chance to really discover the city’s ancient history dating well back to the time before Julius Caesar was Emperor.  As you will soon discover once you arrive and have settled into your hotel there are numerous wonderful and exciting things to see and do. 

Of course no holiday to Rome is complete without spending time visiting the many different top attractions that the city has to offer from the Colosseum , to the Trevi Fountain, to the Vatican, to the Sistine Chapel  and also its many museums and galleries as well.

The Colosseum which stands at over 160 ft tall is certainly along with the Vatican and Sistine Chapel one of the most recognizable of all the cities buildings.  It was erected on the site where it stands today in 72AD and during ancient Roman times many wonderful spectacles took place within its wall that more than 50,000 spectators could enjoy.  Of course there were the gladiator fights, but there were also mock naval battles arrange and even wild animal hunts for the spectators to enjoy.

However, Rome is not only a city of history it is a great place to enjoy great food, shopping and nightlife as well.  Certainly after wandering around the city’s streets and enjoying all that wonderful sights it is time to relax and unwind.  Throughout the summer months many restaurants and cafes have wonderful areas available to sit outside where you can enjoy a chilled glass of Chianti or a wonderful espresso coffee as you watch the world pass you by.
